Building Your Catalog

Building your Plant Catalog is easy and fast.  We call this our Rapid Data Entry Technology. 

First the Plant Catalog comes pre-loaded with over 400 plants  with images. (Disclaimer)  The images are  provided by bloomingbulb.com.

You can create new Plant Catalog Records Two Ways:

1.     Clear all fields and enter all information about the plant and save it.

2.     Selecting an existing plant entry without a Cultivar and change the following fields:  Primary Color, Secondary Color, Pattern, Plant Name, Plant Type 1 or Plant Type 2 and save.  The original record still remains in the database and a new record with the new information is created.

Once a record has a Cultivar assigned, you can change any field (except cultivar) and it will not create a new Plant Catalog record.  You can only have one record in the Plant Catalog for a Cultivar for the same plant.

We call this our Base Record data entry method.  Each catalog plant is a base record that can create a new catalog plant. Base Records save a lot of time and allows you to build a catalog to fit your needs.
