What is the minimum action required?

Planning List minimum action is either to remove a plant from the list or to plant it.  You do not have to even add quantity for planting.  The only information needed for planting is a garden. Top of Page

What Detail Information can be saved?

Actions that save information into the diary include Purchasing and Planting.  For Purchasing information, you can capture cost, vendor, purchase date and quantity.  For Planting information, you capture garden, quantity and date. Top of Page

What if I want only the vendor and not the cost?

Planning List is where common sense took over.  Individual gardeners can decide, by plant, what information they want to capture and what they don't want to.  Some gardeners only care about the vendor and there are some who just want costs.  There are also some gardeners who don't want either.  Record whatever you want and forget the rest. What if buy 7 and there were only 6 on the Planning List?

Change the quantity to 7 during Receiving or Planting action. Top of Page

What if I want to reverse an action?

Setting an action for a record on the Planning List is not dependent upon a previous action.  For e.g., if you change a record to Receive and then discover you didn't, change the status back to Acquire and the system will undo all receiving information.  Note: The only status that you cannot reverse is Planting. What happens if the cultivar I wanted was not available and I substitute?

You can change a cultivar for a Plant on the Planning List.  The result is a creation of a new Plant Catalog record with the new cultivar name using the original cultivar as the base.  The original plant remains unchanged.
